Day 1 – Journey to Warrnambool
Travel through the picturesque landscapes of Western Victoria, visiting the scenic Red Rock Lookout near Colac for sweeping views across the region’s unique volcanic lakes and plains. After lunch in Camperdown, we continue through rich farming country and visit the Allansford Cheese Shop before arriving in Warrnambool, our home for the next four nights. This evening, enjoy dinner and settle into your accommodation.
Day 2 – Flagstaff Hill, Twelve Apostles & Loch Ard Gorge
Today we discover the dramatic history and stunning scenery of the Shipwreck Coast. Our day begins at Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, where we learn about the region’s rich maritime heritage and the famous Loch Ard shipwreck. This afternoon we visit the iconic Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge before returning to Warrnambool. After dinner, we enjoy the spectacular Shipwrecked Sound and Laser Show, bringing the story of the Loch Ard disaster vividly to life.
Day 3 – Warrnambool & Tower Hill Nature Reserve
Enjoy a guided tour of Warrnambool and its beautiful coastal surrounds. We visit the fascinating Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, set within an extinct volcanic crater and home to an abundance of native wildlife. Other highlights include Killarney Beach, Fletcher Jones Gardens, Hopkins Falls and Logans Beach, renowned for its spectacular coastal views and seasonal whale watching opportunities.
Day 4 – Portland, Cape Bridgewater & Port Fairy
Today we travel west to explore some of Victoria’s oldest and most picturesque coastal communities. Visit the stunning coastline of Cape Bridgewater and enjoy time to take in the spectacular scenery before travelling to Portland for a ride on the historic Portland Cable Tram. This afternoon we visit the charming seaside town of Port Fairy, renowned for its beautifully preserved historic buildings and rich maritime history.
Day 5 – Great Ocean Road Adventure
A highlight of the tour, today we travel the full length of the world-famous Great Ocean Road. Marvel at breathtaking coastal scenery as we journey through Port Campbell, Apollo Bay, Lorne, Anglesea and Torquay, with stops to admire some of Australia’s most spectacular ocean views. Relax and enjoy this unforgettable coastal drive before returning home with wonderful memories of Victoria’s Shipwreck Coast.
